It listens and displays the note I'm hitting versus the note I'm supposed to hit, giving me great feedback to help get my fingers trained to hit the right keys for the notes I see on the page as well as my ears being in coordination with that. I get the right note and move to the next. You can have a similar thing for getting timing right. Also, think of the learning ability here. These however are one-off specific devices for the sole purpose of displaying sheet music. The iPad would be ideal!! Don't know if the software exists but I am sure some enterprising developer could make it happen.
